About Me

Robert (He/Him/They/Them) began his training at East Los Angeles College where he trained in ballet, modern, and jazz techniques. Within the realm of concert dance, Robert joined The Let’s Dance Company under the direction of Kimberly Rabins where he performed repertoire and premiere works under artists including Rick Crawford, Kristin Reutimann and Breanne Genite. Robert traveled with the company to perform at venues such as the Diavolo Dance Center, the 2018 Community College League of California Annual Convention and New York to take master classes with artists such as Robin Dunn. Robert went on to receive multiple accolades such as Dancer of the Year, the East Los Angeles College’s Department of Dance Scholarship and was given the opportunity to work as a classroom assistant for Ballet and Modern techniques.
Robert transferred to CSU Long Beach where he is a current Dance Science and BFA Candidate. In his short time at Long Beach, he has performed with artists such as Marjani Forté, Keith Johnson and has gone on to receive the DAAG scholarship. Robert continues to be deeply involved inside and out of CSULB and has begun learning folklorico and afro-modern techniques to further his knowledge in different styles of dance.
