As a choreographer I am interested in exploring different aspects of culture, specifically my hispanic/gay culture in regard to topics of freedom, struggle, and everyday life. I’m fascinated in the abstraction of movements and shapes people create performing everyday tasks, exploring the concept that everything can become a dance which allows for me to include family in my creative process. Rooted in my work are years as a musician which create a curiosity in my exploration and creation of sounds. My compositional process in movement and music allow me to create visual and auditory landscapes for myself and others.
